Up for sale we have a 1964 Mosrite Ventures Model with Vibramute in original Sunburst finish with original hardshell case. Made in Bakersfield, CA. The guitar is in very good used condition showing moderate cosmetic wear with small dings, dents, scuffs and scratches throughout the body and neck as well as a fair amount of lacquer checking throughout. All parts original to the guitar to the best of our knowledge. This Ventures model features a 24 3/4" scale length, solid body with deep double cutaways and German carve, original crack-free mint green pickguard, Vibramute vibrato tailpiece, early style chrome knobs, a fantastic sounding pair of Mosrite single-coil pickups, black covers with debossed Mosrite logo, master volume, master tone and 3-way pickup selector switch. The slim neck features a D-shape profile measuring .830" deep at the first fret and .860" deep at the twelfth fret, showing little taper in mass from end to end. Double-line Kluson Deluxe tuners. The bound 22-fret (plus zero fret) features a dark Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard with small white dot inlaid fret markers and retains its original small "fretless wonder" frets. The frets show moderate play wear with some divots and wide flat crowns but have some good life left in them. Notes ring clear up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or buzzing. Width at the original metal nut measures 1 9/16". The neck is straight and the truss rod turns smoothly in both directions functioning as it should. The guitar weighs in at 8 lbs. 2 oz.
