About This Listing

1920s Orpheum No. 1 Tenor Banjo and new gold tone hardshell case.

Great player banjo. Set up for low action--plays clean up to 12th fret. Only work I had done on it was a little fret dressing and set the neck.

17 frets, scale approx 21 inches. Currently tuned GDAE/GDAD for irish music.

Maple ring and neck. Headstock & fingerboard inlay intact. Fingerboard in great shape for 100 year old banjo! All hardware is in working order, tho some parts look to have been replaced over time (e.g. tail piece). New geared tuners--tunes up easily and holds tune well. Removable arm rest and plastic resonator. Clear remo head. Banjo has typical small dings and scuffs but did not affect playability.

Made in US by Rettburg & Lange. Serial number indicates manufacture date at 1920.

Ship free to US. No international sales/shipping, sorry.

Sold as-is, as described. Returns for damage reported to carrier at receipt only. IM if you have specific questions. I will not respond to requests for emails
