Gem Sound BJL-1150 Turntable

Audio technics cartridge (no model visible) with a good stylus. Styled (from an appearance perspective) after the expensive Technics sl-1200, but not with the same quality or weight of components obviously. Belt driven. Pitch control with strobe light,  dual speed, anti-skate and adjustable weight. Cueing. Felt Slip mat. Dustcover solid with no cracks or breaks and hinges good.

Service work generally done on all turntables includes:

Cabinet opened up and dust blown out.

Visual inspection of boards for signs of overheat or component failures and replaced as necessary.

Visual inspection of solder joints for cracking cold joints and reflowed as necessary.

Main power caps checked for proper capacitance and ESR values and replaced as necessary.

Potentiometers switches sliders jacks etc dust blown out cleaned and lubricated with Deoxit.

Inspection of any belts and tires for cracking melting sponginess and replaced as necessary .

Inspection of any springs, and replaced as necessary.

Inspection of ALL lamps. Replaced as necessary even if still working but too weak to provide even lighting.

Exterior cleaning including handled knobs and buttons sanitized.

Lubrication of motor bearings axle and interior moving parts.
