A fun 55 year anniversary edition project, hand wired tube amp by JML Studios for Orange Amps using the Orange tiny Terror Pcb and schematic. A one of a kind build, hardwired in NYC. People always ask about this unique amp when they enter our commercial studio, and it turns a lot of heads.

Never gigged: smoke and pet free studio. The iconic original design harkens back to the earliest Orange white panel faceplate with black stroke border, using original 60’s terminology “echo send” which is now the modern “FX Loop”. Features one of a kind 55th anniversary logo and a pair of awesome 12” Celestian speakers.

NOS vintage 1950’s GE Halo Getter vacuum tube. Tests extremely strong for both emission and Gm.  Test results are shown in pictures.  Low noise with no microphonics. Amp tone is extremely versitile.

I would say this amp shines in tone versatility, and has very unique tone shaping control features. We have pretty much every high end amp you could imagine in our collection including vintage Marshals, early 60s Fender bandmasters, Princeton and Champ amps, Magnetone, boutique stuff, etc; and I would say this amp shines wonderfully in tone versatility. The breath of this tone versatility is unparalleled & I’ve never owned an amp that can truly get every other amp sound out there. From honky Vox tones, to punchy clean Fender chime, to Marshall grit and everything inbetween, you’ll be surprised how each tiny turn of the Shape Control seems to recall the spirit of a different decade in Orange tone and amp design.

FEATURES:

Dual Effects send and return, vintage NOS 1950’s 12Ax7 tube w/ microphonic bands for clarity, vintage 8ohm parallel 12” Celestian speaker pair in a cool early 60’s Silvertone cabinet! (Note the cabinet is worn in spots. Tolex has been repaired but retains vintage patina. It is not brand new so don’t expect it to be). You can run echo send from front panel or rear... or both! The new custom wiring is all high end silver wiring with leaded Kester solder and Mouser pots. Uses a modern IEC with Orange branded switching PSU.

The tone is bright and punchy and can get INSANELY loud for a 20 watt amp. Like paint peeling loud … OR quiet and clean. The drive function dials in the input tube section so you can get that Orange grit at low volumes OR high volumes. Hybrid topology gives you best of both world. Amp even has modern features such as a headphones jack for bedroom practicing or DI out!
