Fender American Professional II Stratocaster/Partscaster - 3 Color Sunburst

American Professional II Stratocaster Body 2022 - 3-Color Sunburst - Very Good Condition

This body was purchased from The Stratosphere last year and has seen minimal usage but does contain some wear and tear. There are a few visible fine scratches and scuffs on the body. I tried to capture these in the pictures. Most of the scratches are located on the front right side of the guitar body (towards the 5 way switch) and are covered by the pickguard. There are two small, squiggly scratches on the front left side of the body along with other slightly visible scratches.

The back of the guitar contains a scratch underneath the neck plate. The neck plate also contains a small scratch as seen in the picture. There are additional fine scratches/imperfections throughout the body when held up to the light that I could not capture on camera. There is also a small chip of paint missing on the underside of the neck pocket (see picture).

American Professional II Stratocaster Replacement Neck 2022 - Rosewood - Excellent Condition

This is a genuine Fender replacement neck purchased from Sweetwater in August last year. The neck has seen minimal usage since then and plays fantastic. However, there are a few mods that have been made to this neck:

. Bone nut was professionally replaced with another bone nut as the G string slot was cut too low from the factory. I put a little graphite in the nut slots. 

. Extra hole drilled at heel for standard heel Stratocasters (see picture).

. Modern tuners have been replaced with vintage tuners. These are Fender Pure Vintage Tuners Part No.0992074000 with a “Fender” stamped logo and Gotoh 10mm adapter bushings. 7 new pilot holes were drilled into the headstock for these tuners. 

. The guitar/neck was setup by a local luthier in September 2023. The new bone nut was filed for .011, .014, .018, .028, .038, .049 strings respectively.

. Frets were also dressed by luthier.

**Please note**

. Original tuner bushings left barely visible, circular indentations on front of headstock (please see pictures).

. The serial number will not provide any results when put into Fender’s serial search as the neck is a replacement neck.

. This specific neck is not the same as the necks found on retail American Professional II Stratocasters. This neck is slightly less thick than the retail Am Pro II Strats. The tint on the neck is also much different, more natural looking, not as orange colored (see pictures).

. The back of the neck is smooth and fast, no dents or rough spots, just about perfect. The fingerboard is comfortable and easy to fret. Neck is straight. Hardly any cosmetic blemishes on this aside from what is described above/shown in pictures. There is a small brown streak on the headstock that is a part of the natural wood (see picture). The fretboard has been conditioned with lemon oil when necessary as I live in a dry climate.

Pre-Wired Pickguard, Custom Shop Fat 50s Pickups - Excellent Condition

This is a genuine Fender pre-wired pickguard (*Note: the pre-wired pickguard that Fender shipped was White but was supposed to be Parchment so I replaced the original pickguard with this Fender Parchment pickguard - I can include the original pickguard if wanted, no additional cost*).

The Fat 50s in this pickguard are a fantastic sounding set. Each pickup is Alnico 5, the middle pickup is reverse wound, reverse polarity making postions 2 and 4 hum cancelling. The pickguard itself is in very good condition with fine scratches throughout. There is a tiny black spec visible when held to the light that I tried to capture (see picture). These have seen a bit of playing but function perfectly fine. Most importantly, the pickups sound awesome.

Overall, this guitar is a joy to play. The only reason I am selling this is I am not a fan of the sunburst color. Hopefully someone else will enjoy this!
