About This Listing

Very Rare Pultec HP-5D stereo high pass filter! Similar to a HLF-3C or LCS-2. This filter is 2 channels of high pass (low cut) which is very useful. I have never seen another HP-5D. Working perfectly and sounds fantastic!

This unit is a very low serial number so I am guessing it is from the 1950 or early 1960's but can't be certain.

Years ago I purchased a lot of equipment that was originally from Atlantic Studios in NYC including this filter. All of the gear had stick on numbers to identify where it landed in the patchbay. Most of the Pultecs and filters were black like this unit. I don't have any way to authenticate that this unit came from Atlantic and have not priced it higher than it would be otherwise but the history and provenance may be of interest. I can provide pics of other items from the lot that are clearly labeled from Atlantic.

Unit is all original except for one missing can cover (just the cover) I replaced with a new one.
