Yamaha Studio Lord SL700S, made in Japan around 1980, cherry sunburst.
The Studio Lord was Yamaha's take on the Les Paul, made between 1976 and 1981 in the famed Matsumoku plant. These are some of the best vintage Japanese LPs going around; they're unsung legends, and as word slowly gets out they're gaining a cult following. This is a higher end model in the SL line, so you get the deluxe splittable humbuckers with cool little push/pull tone knobs.
In excellent condition given that it’s a 40+ year old guitar. Was obviously well kept, though has signs of playing. I recently imported it to the U.S. from a seller in Japan, only played once then placed it in my collection (It’s my third Studio Lord, decided I needed to sell one to fund another guitar). Prior seller reports the neck is in good shape and straight, truss rod has plenty of room in both directions, and frets at about 60%.
No hardshell case, but will ship with the basic gig bag I received it in.
