It is said that less than 100 of these were ever produced, standing out as a true oddity in Gibsons catalog. Designed by Ned Steinberger and produced in Gibsons Nashville factory, this bass is a beautiful marriage of Stienbergers’ design capabilities and Gibsons time tested quality.

The active electronics sound fantastic and the neck is incredibly comfortable and fun to play. The neck is chunky and almost feels like a 50s Les Paul mixed with a 60s Precession. This bass has a very impressive and fat tone, and stands apart from any Gibson bass I’ve played. It balances incredibly well and sustains beautifully, even acoustically

It is missing the black, fold out leg rest, but other than that, it is completely original. It does come with the original cloth case, although it does have some wear and tear. The “Inca Silver” finish has aged into a beautiful gold, and really looks like a classic Gibson goldtop. It does have some finish crazing, but it honestly looks lovely, and only adds to the patina. The bass has a decent amount of finish nicks, scratches, scuffs, hardware tarnishing and general ware. There is one hole at the bottom possibly due to an extra strap button. Additionally, there are two other marks that look like holes but do not go into the wood. The larger mark is where the missing leg rest was, please see the pictures.

The neck is in great shape with no issues to note, the truss rod functions properly with plenty of room for adjustment, and the frets have lots of life left. The strings are old and the bass could use a setup to the future owners preference

Please see all pictures, I do my best to show up close and clear images of all imperfections.

I usually ship the same or next day and take extra precautions to ensure a safe arrival, please see feedback and buy with confidence
