Pan Matsumoku SG Style - 1970’s Made in Japan 🇯🇵! - Killer Guitar! - Huge and Throaty Single Pickup! - Great SG! -

This guitar is so badass. It's badassness is undeniable. This guitar has The Clash, Buzzcocks, Iggy Pop, Elvis Costello, and Television vibes burning inside it. It also has a beautiful full-throated clean rhythm sound to it, it would also be amazing as frontperson's folk guitar.This guitar is going to write some special songs. I have to not play this guitar because I'll want to keep it. 

These were made in the famous Matsumoku factory in Japan, I've seen this model be a Univox before, and it's basically a Univox that they branded as a "Pan." I've mainly seen a lot of amazing nylon string acoustic guitars come out of that factory that are super nice, but occasionally a really nice electric like this one comes along.

As an instrument, this guitar is pretty awesome. The action is super low and bouncy, it plays like absolute butter. Super well made guitar, all the important stuff was deeply considered. That pickup sounds so good! Big and throaty sound that gets totally nasty in a Buzzcocks way when overdriven. This would perform and look great as a frontperson's guitar, especially with that neck pickup this has some great rhythm vibes. Dead simple controls and hardware, but they're to the point and super effective. The intonation is great! A lot better than a lot of legit Gibson Jr's I've seen over the years. The guitar stays in tune like a rock, the design is so good that everything stays right where it should. When the guitar goes out of tune it's because something moved, a good guitar design is one where everything stays perfectly in place. There's a few slightly buzzy frets here and there, but nothing too crazy and no more that a regular Gibson or Fender.

There's some scratches here and there, but it's in really great condition for being 45 years old. It's a fantastic instrument and will make a great special guitar for someone. Killer guitar!
