About This Listing

Just in is this really cool 1979 Precision Bass w/all the right stuff. It’s exactly like one used when new in 1979 when Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy played it throughout their US tour. It has an original Black finish over a heavy alder body, its Rosewood Neck is a very rare “B” spec neck w/a 1 5/8″ nut & is super clean dated to 1979. Its has a special ordered “Mirror” pickgard w/its thumb rest in its proper place that was Phil Lynott’s trademark & pulls this all together. Its split pickup is super punchy. Its original pot codes date to 1979 & another set of pots dated slightly, later are installed in the bass w/its originals still in the case pocket. It has a nice rather clean patina for a 45 year old original. It plays & feels excellent having killer sustain & tone qualities w/a black tolex hard case.
