Up for sale we have a beautiful Gretsch 6118 Double Anniversary in original 2-tone Smoked Green finish with COA, hang tags, and other original case candy in a newer non-original Gretsch branded hardshell case. The guitar is in excellent used condition overall and has been well cared for over the course of the last 60+ years. The body shows light cosmetic wear with a bit of honest play wear, small scuffs and a handful of dents from normal use as well as some light play wear on the neck with some finish worn through on the backside in the first position. The instrument is structurally sound with no cracks, breaks or repairs and all parts are original to the guitar to the best of our knowledge. The 6118 model features a 24 1/2" scale length, fully hollow Maple laminate body with F-holes and bound top and back, Bigsby Vibrato tailpiece, Gretsch Roller bridge, Lucite pickguard with Gretsch logo, equipped with its original pair of HiloTron single coil pickups each with dedicated volume and tone controls, master tone control, 3-way pickup selector switch, 3-way tone selector switch, 2-piece Maple neck with two thin Walnut center strips, 21-fret Brazilian Rosewood fretboard with pearl inlaid "Thumbnail" fret markers, pearl inlaid Gretsch "Roof T" headstock logo, "Anniversary Model" plaque and Grover StaTite open gear tuners. The medium sized neck features a comfortable round C-shape profile measuring .870" deep at the first fret and .960" deep at the ninth fret. Width at the nut measures 1 11/16". The original smaller sized frets are in good shape showing minimal play wear, good life left in them. The truss rod is accessible at the headstock and functions as it should.
