About This Listing

Since the introduction of the JEM 1987, Steve Vai has been inextricably linked to the model with the iconic handle. Vai helped design the model, which is heavily inspired by the Superstrats of the early '80s, such as the guitars of Jackson, Kramer and Hamer. The sharp body lines, flat necks and high output humbuckers make these guitars real shredders!

This JEM is produced in Japan and features all the design elements you would expect from this guitar model. The deep cutaways, together with the rounded heel, provide easy access to all 24 frets, of which the last four frets are scalloped. The floating Ibanez Edge Locking Tremolo has a range from the subtlest vibrato to the deepest divebombs. The pickup configuration is particularly multifunctional with two humbuckers and one single coil; The smart circuit splits the humbuckers into positions 2 and 4 to create the tasteful sounds of the intermediate positions of a Stratocaster.

This 2006 Ibanez JEM7 has light playwear on the body, as well as some dings on the sides and back of the body. The guitar is very clean overall and is therefore in excellent condition. Delivered with TFOA passport in the original hardshell case.

Product Overview
The Ibanez JEM7V Steve Vai Signature brings the searing power and flashy appointments of one of guitar's most recognized mavens together in one stunning specimen. Built with direct input from Vai himself, the JEM7V features a whip-quick five-piece Wizard III neck and dual humbucker/one single coil Evolution pickup combination for shredding in serious style. Early White models featured an ebony fretboard (1999 - 2003), but later switched to a rosewood fretboard.
