This is one microphone/line input module with HP/LP Filters and parametric equalizer from Lafont Esterel Series mixing console mounted in a proprietary high quality custom 19” /1RU metal case - NEW. No time, efforts or money was spared designing and building this case.

These are high quality modules engineered by Jean Pierre Lafont used in highly regarded Lafont Esterel consoles.

The module was fully serviced, tested and it is working great.

We added an electronic balanced output.

The power supply is oversized, heavy-duty with toroidal transformer. All XLR connectors are Neutrik.

Inputs:

This module is fitted with two inputs: microphone and line.

The microphone preamplifier stage is electronically balanced with input sensitivity ranging (continuously variable) from –70 to -26dB. An additional 20dB pad is provided. Phase reverse and +48V phantom power supply with LED indicators are fitted.

The line input is transformer balanced as well. It is adjustable from -10dB to +10dB.

Equalizer:

These modules employ very sophisticated parametric equalizer with HP/LP filters.

High Pass/Low Pass filters are with Butterworth characteristics and 12dB slope.

Frequency range is continuously variable from 40Hz to400Hz (for the HPF) and (1.2 kHz to 22 kHz) for the LPF.

The HPF / LPF are fitted with a separate switch with LED indicator.

The high frequency equalizer is boosting/cutting (+/-) 16dB from 800 to 10 kHz. Characteristic is switchable from “peaking” to “shelving”. The Q factor for of peaking curve is 1.

The high mid frequency equalizer is boosting/cutting (+/-) 16dB from 400 to 7 kHz. The Q factor is continuously variable from 0.6 to 3.

The low mid frequency equalizer is boosting/cutting (+/-) 16dB from 100Hz to 2.2 kHz. The Q factor is continuously variable from 0.6 to 3.

The low frequency equalizer is boosting/cutting (+/-) 16dB from 35Hz to 700Hz. Characteristic is switchable from “peaking” to “shelving”. The Q factor for of peaking curve is 1.

Equalizer “IN” switch engages the EQ section of the module.

Insert points:

Insert send / returns points with adjacent switch are fitted on this preamplifier.

Output:

The output is electronically balanced with maximum output of +27dBm.

Mains:

The voltage is switchable between 117 VAC to 230VAC.
