Gibson Grabber G-1 Bass made famous by Gene Simmons ! Just rare as hell is to find an exact early production & all over the "Kiss Alive" tour period, this Grabber Bass in a factory Wine Red finish just like Gene played, nice fattish maple neck, 1 funky sliding pickup, this is just like the Grabber Bass Gene is playing on the "Kiss Alive" album cover too !The perfect Kiss cover band bass.Excellent overall condition and all original (except 1966 Volume pot). One of several Gibson solidbody basses introduced in the '70s, the Grabber and its counterpart the Ripper featured a large Maple bodies similar to guitars like the L6-S.  While the regular Grabber model featured a single movable pickup, the G-3 (also known as the Grabber III) used three single coils.
