This delightful little guitar is stamped NB Curtiss (Curtiss was a New York based retailer and musician who ordered guitars from manufacturers like Lyon and Healy and Larson Brothers) This one has the Star inlays that are a trademark of guitars sold by him on an ebony fretboard, it has a fine adirondack spruce top, solid Brazilian rosewood back and sides with a five color candycane binding. This instrument has a recently had a bridgeplate and bridge replacement by Cat Fox of Sound Guitar. She gave it a clean bill of health and there are indications of a somewhat recent neck reset prior to my getting the instrument. It is a wonderful sounding parlor with a deep V neck, and is sure to be an eye catcher wherever it is played. It has a 24 1/4 Scale, is 13" at the hips, 9" at the shoulders and 37.5" overall. It comes in a fitted hard shell case.
