San Diego-born singer-songwriter Jason Mraz is a longtime Taylor player, and we were thrilled to work with him to design a signature model inspired by his nylon-string NS72ce. The Jason Mraz Signature Model (JMSM) is built with all-solid Indian rosewood back and sides and a Western Red cedar top. The tonewood combination serves up a lovely musical character with lush overtones, low-end warmth and a snappy treble range. Mraz also helped us design a custom suite of visual appointments, such as the "Be Love" triangle/circle fretboard inlay in Mexican cypress and the zodiac-themed rosette, also made with Mexican cypress along with granadillo and Hawaiian koa. An ES-N pickup provides easy plugged-in sound, and the guitar ships in a hardshell case with a custom label and certificate of authenticity signed by Mraz.
