Collings 290 DC Doghair with Pearloid Binding 2015 - Doghair with Pearloid Binding

For sale is a 2015 Collings 290 DC in a Doghair Finish with Pearloid Trim weighing 7.6 pounds. I am the original owner and purchased this instrument NEW from Eddie's Guitar's in April of 2015 strictly as an invesment. I own a number of Vintage 50's Gibson Les Paul Specials and Junior Double Cut Historic Reissues and wanted to own a Collings DC 290 specifically in the Doghair finish with the Pearloid Trim just for the unique cool factor of the cosmetics. Although I love Gibsons, IMO, Collings are a cut above Gibson as far as craftmanship goes. As a collector more so than a professional musician, this guitar has remained in its case since purchase. It is literally un-played and still has the original plastic on the pickguard and backplate. I have opened up the case periodically just to admire it and gently strum it plugged in for a few minutes just to make sure everything was perfect. The neck is straight with low action (10-46) and the P-90's just sing.

Bottom Line: This is an exceptional, classy-looking, superbly crafted piece that is versatile and sounds dynamic no matter what amp you're playing through. I don't believe Collings is making this particular model any more so this is a Pristine " collectible" that would make a great addition for any player, collector or Collings enthusiast. I want to emphasize that I have been very discerning in the Guitars that have made their way into my collection selecting only what I believe are the top of the line, best-playing instruments I can find.
