Lovies Guitars is excited to present this 1997 Gibson CL-40 Artist Natural Acoustic/ Electric Guitar Signed by The Wallflowers! A very rare instrument indeed, the CL or Custom Line series acoustic guitars were only made in 1997 and 1998. This series later on evolved into the SongBird model which we now know as the Songwriter. It shares a lot of the visual appointments with these instruments like the abalone rosette and custom pickguard. The CL-40 Artist features a Sitka spruce top, Rosewood backs/sides, ebony fretboard, pearl headstock logo/angel wing inlay, abalone rosette, abalone angel wing fretboard inlays, abalone dot bridgepins, multi-ply bindings and gold Kluson style tuners tuners.

This Gibson was signed by The Wallflowers and kept as part of a private collection since 1998. It was purchased during a charity auction in Hollywood all those years ago. Can remove signatures upon request. This guitar is in excellent shape with a couple indents and light marks and a couple finish checks, rated at 9.5/10. All original and free from any breaks, cracks or repairs.
