A great example of an early 80’s ‘prime’ FujiGen era Les Paul. The EG700 is in the middle of the range, with the famed ‘Super Real’s at the top. If you know about Greco’s you’ll know all about these guitars and how good they are - see vid below for more info. This one sounds absolutely killer with it’s original Maxon U2000 humbuckers!
Mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, Maxon U2000 pickups as mentioned, 3 way selector switch, 2x volume and tone controls. 22 frets with bound edges, tune-o-matic bridge and vintage style tuners. All the hardware is original, and everything works as it should. You might want to re-glue the nut but I never bothered because when under tension from the strings it stays in place anyway. Also, one of the tuning pegs could benefit from some deeper screws, but again this isn't a problem in practice - I've never had it spring out on me or anything.
Because it’s such a great guitar it’s been played a lot and consequently it’s has had quite a life! It basically looks like a heavy aged guitar if you chose that as a finish, but why do that when you can have the real thing – a guitar that is over 40 years old, and consequently has that ‘woody’ sound?
Comes with Kinsman case.
