HAVE YOU ALWAYS WANTED A JUNO 106, BUT COULD NOT AFFORD ONE? WELL, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO MAKE THAT DREAM A REALITY!!! π
This MUSICIAN'S DREAM-GEAR is FULLY FUNCTIONAL, and I would say it is in MINT condition, especially for its age! However, and respectfully, since everyone has different standards, please don't take my word for it; I'll let the pictures do the talking. π
I am sure that if you are looking at this item, you know everything about it. So, I will first tell you about this particular gem:
IT HAS JUST BEEN FULLY SERVICED!
The following were done, which cost me over $1000! I'm sure you may find others for less than what mine is selling for, however, you would then need to find someone who would work on these (which is very rare nowadays), and then who knows how much it would cost to make it fully functional??! These synths are over 40 years old, which means unless they had just been serviced, hardly any of them would be fully functional; and condition is everything. Also, they are known for their FATAL FLAW, their voice chip issue! And 4 out of 5 would need some kind of service/replacement, and that is very costly! $$$$
SERVICES DONE:
- Full inspection
- Key-bed serviced
- Voice chips REPLACED
- Fresh board battery installed
- All factory presets reprogrammed
- All sliders/knobs serviced
- All switches serviced
- All contacts cleaned
- All buttons serviced
- Cleaned inside and out
This synth is basically a JUNO 106, WITH BUILT-IN SPEAKERS! Everything else (besides the mapping of the boards inside, to fit in the speakers) is the same! That includes all the PCB boards, voice chips, dials, knob, capabilities...Everyone knows/has heard of the mighty JUNO 106, but for some reason, its low-key gray twin-brother stayed in the shadows...This synth is one of the most amazing synths of all time! With its rich/creamy analog sounds, and heavenly string sounds, it is a timeless gear, which was way ahead of its time when it came out, and will forever be relevant, and usable in all electronic music productions. It is truly breathtaking... And for those reasons, it will forever remain a favorite, and will only go up in value! It is a MUST HAVE for anyone who produces music, or is simply interested in synthesizers...
The Juno-106 is a very common and widely used analog polysynth. It continues to be one of the most popular analog synths due to its great sound and easy programmability. It was the next major incarnation of the Juno-series, following the Juno-60. While it has virtually the same synth engine as the Juno-60, the 106 added extensive MIDI control making it one of Roland's first MIDI-equipped synthesizers. There was also increased patch memory storage, up to 128 patches instead of the 56 patches available in the Juno-60.

THIS WOULD MAKE AN AMAZING GIFT FOR ALL OCCASIONS, INCLUDING CHRISTMAS, BIRTHDAY, ANNIVERSARY... π
Please feel free to ask me any questions; I will try my best to find the answers for you.
Also, let me know if you need any more pictures.
Thank you,
Kevin

A VIDEO or two:
WHY BUY FROM ME?
When you're buying a vintage (or just a used) car, does the condition matter? Of course it does! π That is why when it comes to buying a used car, price is not everything... And buying a second hand synthesizer, is no different than purchasing a vintage or used car.
Yes, I'm proud of my children for sure. Mainly because when it comes to used keyboards and synths (just like used cars), condition is EVERYTHING! I have searched hard, hand-picked and collected only the best of the best that are in pristine condition (majority of them); and then, had them professionally inspected, serviced/repaired (if needed), reprogrammed/restored (if needed), detailed... There's definitely value in that. On average, I spend about two hours on every single keyboard, before offering it for sale, and if they're not serviced, or if they don't pass the inspection, I don't sell them! I believe in selling ONLY quality items, to ensure that my clients are very happy with their purchase, which produces repeats, referrals and customers for life! π With all other used gear from other sources, including the major retailers, you'd have to keep your fingers crossed until it arrives... And most often, they are not what they were described to be, and often enough turn into headaches or heartaches...but you can rest assured that, if you buy from me, you will get a fully functional gear, and you'll get to see tons of detailed pictures, before making up your mind! πNo retailer would service them prior to the sale, as it costs an additional $250-$300! And that is what I do, as a labor of love! I do this because I really enjoy ANYTHING and EVERYTHING about synthesizers! Buying, selling, fixing, collecting, playing...I just love them! π
A LITTLE ABOUT ME:
I am a 46-year-old, with a degree in electronic engineering, who LOVES Synthesizers, Music, and Electronics in general. Even though I do not work in the electronic field; I have always loved it, never separated; and as a hobby, I collect and fix them (if broken); and sometimes sell them to make room for others... And, to make sure the next owner would not have any issues, I test them, open them(if necessary), and serviced them.
SOME SPECS FROM THE WEB:
(The following information is from the web, and not my words, so I cannot guarantee the accuracy of the statements, but believe them to be accurate, to the best of my limited knowledge on this instrument)
The Juno-106 is a six-voice polyphonic and programable analog synth with one digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) per voice. While classic monophonic synths used two or three oscillators to create a fatter sound, the Juno-106 uses built-in Chorus to fatten up its sound to dramatic effect. The nature of its DCO meant it was stable and always in perfect tune but still warm and analog. There is an excellent 24dB/oct analog lowpass filter with plenty of resonance and self-oscillating possibilities and a non-resonant highpass filter. The programable pitch/mod bender can be assigned to control the DCO pitch, VCF cutoff, and LFO amount all at once or individually.
The Juno-106 was the first MIDI equipped Juno and its implementation is quite good. There are 16 MIDI channels available and MIDI SysEx data can be transmitted/received from all the sliders and buttons for total remote control and sequencing capability. A switch on the back of the keyboard, next to the MIDI ports allows the user to switch between three types of MIDI modes: Keyboard and Hold data only; Keyboard, Hold, Bender, Patch selection data; or All data (including SysEx). Most users simply set it to MIDI Function mode 3 and forget it.
This synth is incredibly straightforward and very powerful. It's SH-series derived panel layout is easy to understand and very hands-on. Use it to generate lush pads, filter sweeps, and funky bass lines and leads. The Juno-106 is an awesome learning tool for anyone new to analog synthesis, as well as an electronic musician's dream for its warm analog sounds coupled with modern features like MIDI and memory - all at a very reasonable price. And still the Juno-106 has an even cheaper alter-ego in the form of the HS-60 - a hobbyist version with built-in speakers.
The Juno-106 is one of the most loved and used synthesizers by professionals and hobbyists alike! William Γrbit, Γberzone, Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim), Autechre, BT, Vince Clarke, Moby, 808 State, Underworld, Leftfield, Fluke, Josh Wink, Todd Terry, Depeche Mode, Eat Static, Biosphere, The Prodigy, The Shamen, Bushflange, Cirrus, Astral Projection, Apollo 440, Faithless, Union Jack, Computer Controlled, Pet Shop Boys, Sneaker Pimps, Erasure, Freddy Fresh, Rabbit in the Moon, Kevin Saunderson, Jimmy Edgar, Laurent Garnier, Vangelis, Sigur Ros, and the Chemical Brothers have used this synth extensively! It belongs in your studio!
