The guitar was made in January 1974. It was the first year when Rickenbacker introduced the new High-Gain pickups.
It has some cosmetic issues, typical for it's age, they are shown in the pictures.
The guitar was modified by previous owner who changed the controls. Now it has a master volume, 2xTone and 1xVolume for neck pickup and a switch who is acting like a kill-switch for bridge pickup.
It was recently refreted with Dunlop 6100 and now it plays like butter.
I consider it to be an advantage, I had other vintage Rickenbacker and the original low and narrow frets are very uncomfortable and causes lot of fretbuzz.
Now it has the fretboard finished in natural. The original laquer on the fretboard was stripped.
It sounds great, having one of the best clean tone I've ever heard.
It plays great, very low action and is very resonant.
