Custom Luthier Built Telecaster 2012 - Spalted Maple over Mahogany.Nitro Lacquer

This is a custom built Telecaster style guitar. The top is one-piece spalted Ambrosia Maple and the back is solid one-piece Honduran Mahogany.

Pickups are Lindy Fralin Split Blade Tele pickups. They feature a noiseless operation, with all the clarity you expect from a single-coil pickup.

Hardware is the Callaham Vintage Tele Kit. From the callahamguitars.com site:

"The bridge is made from .075 thick cold rolled material using a 5 stage bending process. It is then stress relieved so that the plate will sit absolutely flat providing maximum sustain and vibration transfer. Stiffness and flatness are paramount in the design, and would not be obtained using .050 material and a stamping process (what Fender and others use). There is no chance of unwanted feedback, and the bridge is produced from cold-rolled carbon steel for tonal reasons.

It is extremely important that the instrument intonate correctly. I guarantee that with our saddles. It is equally important that the strings do not touch the height adjustment screws. This is a major problem on Fender bridges and their copies. We insure this will not happen with our design. We are the only manufacturer that buffs every saddle to a highluster by hand. This allows the string to rest on a perfectly smooth surface. We also install the correct length of height adjustment screw to eliminate irritation to the picking hand."

Tuners and controls are also from Callaham.

No pickguard is used on this guitar since the top wood is so interesting. Mighty-Mite neck with Rosewood board. Includes a vintage style tweed Tele case.
