Alnico II Pro™ Flat Strat Pickups

The Alnico 2 Pro for Strat set uses flat (non-staggered) hand ground alnico 2 rod magnets and heavy Formvar mag wire with a special wind pattern to produce that classic bouncy tone you’d expect from the best 50s Stratocaster pickups. The flat pole pattern is designed to improve string balance and response on guitars that use lighter strings or have flatter fretboards. The treble attack is soft and sweet, the mids feel just slightly scooped, while the low end has a vintage sponginess. Chords have a nice, smooth feel, and single notes have a singing, musical character.

This pickup comes complete with waxed and tinned cloth pushback hook-up wires and traditional keyed bottom plate. Like all our pickups, the Alnico 2 Pro Flat Stratocaster pickups are potted in our wax formulation for squeal free performance. Neck/Middle/Bridge position models will have the same output, wind direction and magnetic polarity.
