About This Listing

This is a 1969 Gibson Les Paul Bass.

This bass is awesome. British Honduras mahogany and BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD fretboard.

The bass sells with a Cites certificate!

Great bass , Easy to play and Sustains forever.

All original with original case

Cosmetically, it's been played a lot during its 54 years. Lacquer has that cool crazing that old Gibsons get. Dings and scratches here and there, buckle rash on the back.

No breaks, no cracks, electronics all functioning great. Trus rod works both ways.

Pro setup with low action, no buzz.

These early ones are hard to come by (especially a '69).

Thanks for looking!

Product Overview
While only labeled as "Les Paul Bass" in catalogs and shipment records, this instrument is colloquially referred to as the "Les Paul Recording Bass" due to its similarity to the Les Paul Recording Guitar of the time. It was soon replaced by the Les Paul Triumph Bass, offering a lightweight body, increased tone options, and a natural mahogany finish.
