About This Listing

Vintage MINT Electra MPC X960 Walnut 1980 Flanger MPC electric guitar MIJ

Walnut Finish! Mint condition.

They do not make such guitars anymore.

X960 is a special MPC model in a Walnut Finish, with 2 working MPC modules (one of them, Flanger, is very RARE (I saw one of these for sale on ebay for $450 recently)). These do not come up for sale too often. Price reflects this.

YouTube link is in pictures (showcasing MPC modules/how they work, different guitar in the video. X960 is too rare to make it to the video yet. 😊):

A rare Electra MPC X960 Walnut featuring 2 original MPC modules. This model is highly sought after & a tough one to find in the MPC series. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.

Cosmetic Condition: Mint condition (except 1 triangle-shaped chip (somehow the piece of lacquer came off there) on the neck back; it does not affect playability: see pics). Overall the guitar has a great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & nice patina on the brass bridge.

Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany set neck (no bolts/glued neck). Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl round inlays. Frets show some minimal wear, but have plenty of life in them. Electra & peace sign headstock inlay. Electra diecast tuners & MPC truss rod cover. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body: Walnut finished Ash/maple body; Double-cutaway

Electronics: 2 open coil Super Magnaflux pickups (humbuckers). The Electra X-960 Ultima comes equipped with two humbucking pickups, one in the bridge and one in the neck position. These pickups are known for their warm and full-bodied sound.

Two 2-way selector switches for each effects module housed in the back of the body. Here is a list of the modules included with the guitar: Phase Shifter, and (what seems to be (no sign)) Power Overdrive. All electronics are in good working condition.

Case: Original chipboard hardshell case included (see pics, with some cool graffiti from the original owner).

It was made at the famous Matsumoku factory in Japan.

You may want to set it up for your own preference:  Any guitar, not just mine,  that is transported through the various shipping services might warrant a setup to optimize its performance.

See all the pictures.

No returns.

I have it listed also on craigslist, ebay, etc. – if it gets sold elsewhere, this listing could be removed.  Due to the above circumstances there could be a slight delay in taking this listing down.Check my other listings
