CMI E200 Electric Guitar 1986 Black

HOW COOL DOES THIS GUITAR LOOK? Rare, Vintage, Collectable CMI E200 (also occasionally seen branded as a “CORT Model SL2”). Made in Korea circa mid 1980s. Try finding ANYTHING about this model on the web. There isn’t much, a few photos and a couple of obsolete listings. This particular guitar might be the only of its kind currently available in this good shape. Check the Internet for yourself! Neck pocket had some cracks when it came into the shop, but I addressed those with glue and clamps and now it’s stronger than new! (see final two listing photos.

    Double cutaway body. 24 inch “short” scale. Eye catching “two-tone” pickguard. Two single coil pickups at neck and bridge positions. Two volume controls and one tone control. Adjustable bridge for string height. Maple or Mahogany neck. Truss rod. 21 fret worn Ebony stained fingerboard. Body thickness approximately 1 inch. Open gear machine heads. Minor scuffs, scratches. Some paint wear per a relic era guitar. Frets show no wear. All of my guitars have been “set up” (neck straightness adjusted when possible, fingerboard oil treated (if rosewood/laurel), action set, pickup height optimized, intonation checked) to MY PERSONAL PREFERENCES. Please note: “setups” are not “one size fits all”. Your personal set up requirements might be different from mine, so, additional adjustments may be needed to suit your setup preferences. Also, for optimal sound and playing ease, I always advise buyers to put a new set of strings on the guitar, the string brand and gauge of their preference. To protect the guitar from damage, the string tension will be relieved before shipping per Reverb.com requirements. You'll need to tune the guitar to pitch when it arrives.
