In order to reproduce the pioneering shapes of the '58 Explorer as accurately as possible, we had the Gibson Custom Shop detailed scans of the best originals from the period. The use of lightweight Korina wood and Hide Glue also promises the coveted vintage sound with resonant emphasis on the mids.
