This is a 4 string tenor banjo.

This is an excellent instrument and is signed presumable by the maker S. Wm. Miller. It is stamped on the neck postand has nice mop inlay on the neck. There are no cracks, chips, breaks or hairlines on the neck. 
This was a played instrument as there is wear on the banjo head. and wear to the neck due to playing.
