Custom-blue Howard Roberts Artist acoustic-electric built in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and completed on June 26, 1979. Extraordinary vintage vibe and tone with gorgeous abalone inlays in neck and headstock; extra hard ebony fingerboard; beautiful custom blue paint job, unlike any Howard Roberts elsewhere. Gold hardware. Pots were swapped out at some point but originals are in the case. Original tailpiece broke spontaneously, as apparently is common. Replaced with a beautiful relic L-5 style tailpiece. Original tailpiece in case. Also please note pinholes where a pick guard was originally attached. I’ve added photos to provide closeup detail. The pick guard has been missing for more than 40 years. Professionally set up. Shipped with cool faux alligator case, and insured for full value. One of the most beautiful and gorgeous-sounding guitars on Reverb.
