The wood on the top of this guitar is Alerce and it grows about 2mm per year, it is over 2,500 years old and is protected by treaty.
I worked at L. Benito in the year that this was made (2004) and it was custom made for me by Lito Benito himself.
Many of the appointments on this guitar (the Koa binding, the paua inlay, the ebony used to make the fingerboard and the bridge, the Gotoh tuning heads) were not available in Chile and I had them brought to me by my girlfriend from the United States.
The top on this guitar is among the most beautiful and figured pieces of Alerce that were available in the factory at the time that it was made. The back and sides are Rosewood and also quite beautiful.
I am not playing guitar much these days and so I am selling the guitars that are nice to look at but deserve to be played by someone everyday.
Sadly, that's not me at the moment.
Comes with the hardshell case that is in the photos.
I am happy to answer any questions, just email or message me.
Thanks for looking.
