Wow! I am not sure what more can be said about this that isn’t self-explanatory, but I will try my best. This Fender Custom Shop replica of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s famed “Number One” Stratocaster is 1 of 100 official Limited Edition “Tribute” models Masterbuilt by John Cruz back in 2004. The SRV #1 Tribute Stratocaster quickly became one of the most desirable, if not THE most desirable Limited Edition guitar ever produced in the Fender Custom Shop. Only 100 pieces were produced, all of them Masterbuilt by John Cruz, and demand was so great that by the time the last one shipped they were selling for more than double the original retail price. I was lucky enough to obtain two of these back around the time they were first released and this is one of those guitars. I sold it to a collector back in 2007 and was just recently able to reacquire it. I am now very happy to be able to offer this incredible guitar for sale again through Make’n Music!
Every detail of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s original Number One Stratocaster has been faithfully recreated here. An included DVD shows video from the day a crew from the Fender Custom Shop obtained the original guitar from Jimmy Vaughan and spent time taking detailed measurements, photos and notes regarding every aspect of the guitar as it was left before Stevie passed away. Each ding, dent, scratch, burn, sticker, etc… From the signature on the back of the body, to the lefty Tremolo modification, to the curling corner of the “CUSTOM” sticker, to the amazingly comfortable profile of the neck and the specially shielded pickups. Every detail was documented and it has all been replicated here – as EXACT as possible. Even the original flight case, gig bag and strap have been replicated and included, along with a number of other unique accessories, photos, DVDs and a Certificate of Authenticity.
Like all our used/vintage gear this has been tested for functionality and is ready to play. The condition is excellent without any serious issues, damage, repairs, or modifications. Sold as-is.
