Yamaha FG502M Natural Open-Pore Acoustic Guitar

Here for sale we have a Yamaha FG502M acoustic guitar in Natural Open-Pore finish. Made in Taiwan, this guitar features an all Mahogany body and Mahogany neck topped with a 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard and bridge.

The Satin finished Mahogany neck plays well, with its ‘C’ profile providing a comfortable playing experience, offering ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the neck. The Rosewood fingerboard feels smooth under the fingers, providing a smooth, consistent playing surface, whilst the 16” radius aids in finger styles and chordal styles of playing. The Dreadnaught body design fills the arms, offering a ‘connected’ feeling, whilst the lines of the body provide comfort in both seated and standing positions.

The Dreadnought body design delivers a blend of volume, power and timbral balance thanks to the Scalloped Bracing. This guitar provides a crisp mid range, warm bass and nuanced trebles providing a voice that covers a lot of styles. The Yamaha FG502M projects superbly well, filling a room with ease, making this guitar perfect for singer/songwriter styles of playing, overall a versatile guitar.

Aesthetic Condition

Headstock: Overall very good condition. The front face of the headstock presents a notable chip and scuffing mark at the bass side, there are also light scratches visible under direct light present on the front face of the headstock.                                                                                                                

Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck presents minor indentations along the profile, notable at the 5th and 10th fret area. All other aspects of the rear of the neck and fingerboard present minimal signs of use.

Body: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates indentation at the lower bout, discolouring the finish. All other aspects of the body present minimal signs of use.

Fret Condition:The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is moderate material remaining for any light fret work the new owner may wish to perform. 

Truss Rod: Fully functional & can be adjusted. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear
