For me, the charm of the OB8 is the ability to stereo pan individual voices, split/ binaural mode, and the choir like ensemble effect of 8 different analog voice cards, each customizable with three trim pots (pitch, filter, envelope).This OB8 has factory MIDI (not a retrofit), which is rare from what I have seen. I also own the newer OBX8, and while both have their charms, the OBX8 does not function like an OB8.
I'm the second owner. I acquired it from a prominent LA musician.
- Functionally and cosmetically in Excellent condition.

- I would greatly prefer local-pickup. I've spent a lot of time restoring and calibrating this synth. I would like to share those insights with the next owner. I live just outside of NYC. If you live in the northeast, I might be able to deliver it. It's large, but not super heavy for a polysynth (only 38lbs).
