Hilhorst Super Concert 2006

If you know of this maker, then you know what you’re looking at. Handmade, gorgeous guitar made in Amsterdam. These have been played by all sorts of concert artists. Hilhorst is retired now, but his website is still available and has lots of great information. Possibly the most powerful classical guitars out there. Smallman-esque internal frame, thin spruce soundboard, radial bracing on this one. Indian rosewood back & sides. Fat, warm spruce sound with all the colors available and at just ridiculous levels of volume and projection. This one is from 2006. Plays great, no setup issues. A couple of superficial issues: string burn behind the bridge, and some scratches in the side presumably from a guitar support used by a previous owner. Consult the photos for those. Neither have any impact at all on sound, playability or durability of the instrument. Sloane tuners. 12-hole tieblock. Indian rosewood back & sides. French polish top, lacquer back &sides. I’ve always been very careful about temp & humidity, so there are no cracks, separations, warping, fret sprout, etc. Includes Hiscox Liteflight case. The KNA pickup in the photos is not included.
