For sale is a Silvertone Sears and Roebuck & Co. 1392 Model Amplifier from the 1950's. This amplifier turns on and works. All inputs crackle but we are able to get guitar sounds through both "Instrument Inputs" and the "Microphone Input" at multiple volumes. The output wire to the speaker has been altered (pictures) to plug into a 1/4" jack. We have done nothing to this amplifier as far as cleaning or repair. This amp is exactly the way it was when it came into us. There are definite modifications that were made to this unit before it came into our possession. For example, there is a broken pickguard that is screwed to the backside of this amp. It looks like it was used as an 'output jack holder' when the customer modified it. There is no use to keep it on once this amp is in the hands of it's new owner.
This is a great vintage amp that will be a fun project for someone who knows restoration. Once complete, you'll own a piece of history, and a COOL looking/sounding amp.
For the reasons listed above, this amplifier is listed as "Fair".
Per Reverb condition qualifications: Fair condition items have various imperfections that impact the function of the item. Fair items aren't broken, but have some minor functional issues. Examples of items in Fair condition are scratchy pots on an amp, or a playable guitar with dead spots in the upper register.
