German parlor guitar ((1880)

It was built in Germany in the late 1800s. It was made by hand, and all its woods are solid.

The top is made of spruce, the sides and back (in one piece) are made of curly maple, as well as the neck. The bridge is stained maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood.

The tuners are mechanical, with rivet gears, without screws. Original wooden nut without 0 fret.

The bridge pins are original, ebony with bone inlays, The neck is very comfortable and stays straight. It also maintains the original frets in excellent condition, its scale is 62.5 cm,It has been completely restored and tuned.

The guitar has some cracks on the top, all of them have been professionally sealed, respecting the original shellac varnish, and are completely firm and stable.

The bridge pins are original, inlaid bone.The tuners are riveted, gears without screws. The neck is extremely strong and stands straight. It also maintains the original frets in excellent condition, its scale is 62.5 cm,

The maple back shrank and for that reason and to relieve tension on the guitar, a small maple hoop was added to the lower part of the back.

It has been a long and delicate restoration, but it is worth it to have this great instrument fully operational and with a tuned and powerful sound.

It is perfectly functional and tunes well, plays comfortably, and has a great sound. All its parts are original and its general condition is good. It is strung with silk and steel strings 011/48.
