I am offering a Yamaha CPX15II, an electric steel-string acoustic guitar from the extremely popular second Compass series, handmade in the Yamaha Custom Shop in Hamamatsu, Japan, with a handy mini jumbo body shape, fine-grained spruce top, back and sides made of impressively grained Indian rosewood, bound rosewood fingerboard with elaborate custom mother-of-pearl flag inlays (!), cutaway and Yamaha's dual pickup system with L.R. Baggs ribbon transducer and condenser microphone in a beautiful natural high-gloss finish with various hand-applied decorations made of precious woods, mother-of-pearl and abalone in excellent condition including Yamaha CPX hardshell case and professional setup with 11-fret Elixir strings.

This Yamaha CPX15 from the traditional guitar maker Yamaha is a visually and technically stunning instrument in a class of its own and combines the best solid tonewoods with traditional, handcrafted workmanship and maximum precision. Unlike the models in the Compass series today, the guitar was handmade in the Japanese custom store in Hamamatsu and shows a heart-warming attention to detail in its workmanship.

This unique steel-string acoustic guitar impresses with a classic design in combination with elaborate, hand-laid white/red mother-of-pearl flag inlays, a rosette decorated with fanfares and a gold-engraved truss rod cover.

In terms of tonewoods, the fine-grained spruce top, which stands out impressively under the thin varnish, together with a wildly grained body made of Indian rosewood, gives the instrument an orchestral-rich tone that shines with powerful basses, present mids and trebles enriched with numerous overtones. The mini jumbo shape allows an incredible differentiation of the individual tones, which gradually complement each other to create a balanced, harmonious sound that is ideal for both picking and strumming.

Thanks to Yamaha's dual pickup system, which combines a condenser micro and L.R. Baggs ribbon transducer pickup, the guitar also has an extremely clear, direct, top-class sound when played live.

An ergonomically designed "Soft V"-shaped neck, together with the low string action and cutaway, ensures fantastically smooth playability right up to the high frets.

This Yamaha CPX15 comes from the second Compass series at the end of the 2000s. This now very rare instrument is one of the most beautiful acoustic guitars ever made by Yamaha and has the potential to increase in value.

This instrument is in excellent, very clean condition and technically flawless. Optically only with occasional very fine superficial wear (see photos). The electronics work flawlessly and the frets are still very good.
