Up for sale is my 70’s El Maya, semi hollow body electric guitar. it has a half block inside so it’s styled after a ES-330. yes this from the 1970’s Japanese production lawsuit era. Excellent finish and build. NO bolt on neck. Very well made. Originally had a Trapeze tail piece. I had a hard tail installed by a great luthier. Original pick ups. Worth good money by them selves. Slim line 1960’s style D neck. Tuners replaced with quality Grover’s.
The guitar sounds great, plays great and looks amazing. It has medium to heavy frets. I used it for many years as my main guitar on gigs. Video/pics attached
Comes with Skb hard case.
I have added back the pickguadd. I prefer without. The grain is really nice.
I also changed back the black top hat knobs. I can include which ever you choose.
Added info from questions on Reverb.
How are the frets remaining life, % ? Very good, 75-80%
Does the truss work properly or does it slip?
The truss works fine i adjusted it this morning. It’s been hanging up for ahwhile. The action in a good spot. It’s a 335 not a super low action metal guitar.
What is the weight of the guitar? 8 Pounds 6 0z.
The guitar could use a new NUT If you wanted to adjust the truss for lower Action. At this point it will buzz in 1-3 if you lower/tighten the truss.
