Music Man BFR Albert Lee MM90 'Ghost in a Shell' 2022 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Music Man BFR Albert Lee MM90 in 'Ghost in a Shell' finish. Limited to 80 guitars worldwide, this highly exclusive guitar was made in the USA in 2022 and features a bolt-on construction comprising Honduran Mahogany body, Rosewood Neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with Chrome hardware including Music Man 2-point, 6-saddle vintage tremolo and Schaller M6-IND locking tuning machines. The pickups in this guitar are a trio of MM90's - Music Man's take on P90 pickups. These are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume and master tone controls. 

Both the neck and fingerboard of this guitar are made from Rosewood, rather than the customary Maple and Rosewood combination. This offers a very smooth, tactile and comfortable playing surface due to the porous, oily nature of Rosewood. This is accentuated by the Satin finish to the rear of the neck, making for very easy navigation of the 25.5" scale. The profile is nicely rounded and feels very articulate and sprightly in the hand, perfect for the fast country and blues styles that Lee is revered for. The body feels nicely compact in the arms, with generous contours enhancing comfort on long gigs and practice sessions. 

The Music Man MM90 pickups installed in this guitar fall somewhere between single coils and P90s. A nice thick tone with slightly lower output than you would expect from a P90, clean tones are crystal clear and shimmery, whilst driving the amp a bit harder achieves a meaty crunch tone with plenty of bite. The trio of pickups and 5-way switch offer a versatile range of sounds, with master volume and tone pots providing comprehensive control of your tone whilst keeping things nice and simple.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall excellent condition, all aspects of the headstock display minimal markings.

Neck: Overall excellent condition, all aspects of the neck display minimal markings.

Body: Overall excellent condition, very light scratching can be seen in places. This is only visible at certain angles under direct light, and is difficult to distinguish. The pickguard shows light scratching, consistent with mild playwear. There is a sticker to the rear of the body with a barcode.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate minimal signs of use. There is considerable material remaining for any future work the new owner may wish to perform.
