The original "Venom" was one of our most talked about new MOD Shop Specials, really popular, so we've kicked it up a notch with our newest variant.

Meet "Slimedog". All dressed up for the night in all black, with just a touch of chameleon burnt chrome and neon green to set it off. Bitten by a radioactive spider and got guitar super powers? Yes, please!

Yet another SUPER COOL, yet highly affordable, unofficial Harley Benton MOD put together by SkunkWerx Labs to give an already cool and very capable guitar some extra EDGE! Who else brings you the good stuff? Only SkunkWerx!

We started with a box stock SC-400 SBK matte black, set-necked, single cut beauty, an already venerable platform to mod upon, and a top seller for us and HB. They respond wonderfully to our FretWerx comprehensive fret and fretboard treatment and setup, and we have done a bunch of them. with stellar results. But they were all missing something. Personality.

First, we stripped off the white plastics, from head to toe. Bye.

The pickup rings were replaced with super cool METAL chameleon chrome ones, the stock gold knobs with black knurled knobs, the switch knob with a metal chrome one for firm upshifts, an official HB blacked out jack plate, then strung it up with DR Neon Green 10-46f coated strings!

The result is one badazz ride, not for the player in the shadows, this one makes a bold statement.

(These DR white coated strings play great and last a long time, and are also very affordable to replace when they do wear out. They even come in several other colors when you need a change!).

Every guitar gets our free FretWerx complete fret prep and mini setup, including, but not limited to:

- Adjust neck in pocket for all bolt on guitars
- Check neck relief and adjust truss rod to factory specs or better
- Remove any sharp fret ends
- Level, crown and polish frets, round fret ends
- Treat fretboard if needed using PRS conditioners
- Lubricate all string contact points
- Tune and intonate, replace strings if needed.
- Play test all electronics
- Clean and polish the entire guitar with PRS cleaners and polishes

We recommend waiting 24-48 hours after receiving your guitar BEFORE performing any setup to allow the guitar to acclimate to your local humidity and temperature. This often alleviates issues without the need for additional setup. Guitars may show some signs of light play wear, and condition is reported as accurately as possible.

All instruments are VIDEO RECORDED during packing to ensure you have accurate images in case of damage during shipping, or dispute. Returns are allowed up to three days after sale. Both initial and return shipping is at the BUYER'S expense, so please review all photos carefully, and ask questions before you buy.
