The microphone's KM D body samples from 44.1 to 192 kHz, ensures double quantization giving a dynamic range of 144 dB and an internal DSP with 40, 80 and 160 Hz low cut, compressor and de-esser. The Neumann connexion kit supplied in the Starter Kit enables the microphone to be directly connected to any AES 3 or SPDif input.
