About This Listing

ITEM:

This vintage 1970s Eros Mark II is like many of the vintage guitars made by Eros during the 1970s. It is styled with a very thin single cutaway mahogany body and mahogany neck that is reminiscent, stylistically, of a Gibson Les Paul and similar models it was attempting to copy. The mahogany neck has a rosewood fretboard with 22 frets and mother of pearl block inlays. While it looks like it has 2 humbucking pick ups, this guitar has two single coil pickups that are covered to look like humbuckers. There are two volume knobs and two tone knobs to round out the cherry sunburst finish on the guitar.

SOME HISTORY:

Eros instruments (styled as E-Ros in the early days) were originally made in Recanati, Italy by the Fuselli Brothers of the Fratelli Fuselli Company. By the late 1970s, they began importing their guitars from Japan and styled them after popular Fender and Gibson guitar models. Based on our research, this guitar looks to be late 1970s.

CONDITION:

This instrument is in very good, vintage condition, in our opinion. Considering its age, the guitar plays great. It was given a full pro setup and inspection by our luthier. The first 5 frets were replaced, the whole fretboard was buffed and polished, all electronics were cleaned, and there was was a crack along the front and back of the guitar that was inspected, filled, and stabilized to ensure years of enjoyment.

Cosmetically, there was the previously mentioned crack that was stabilized by our luthier and some dings on the sides and back of the guitar. None of these affect playability. Please see our photos for specific condition.

There is a case w the instrument.
