Here is something you will never see again. This was found at an estate sale near Buffalo, inside the bottom of a toolbox.
Josh Scott from JHS Pedals tried to help me date it and even he said “he’s never seen anything like it”. I posted a screenshot from our conversation in the listing.
Someone cut a little hole in the side to make the wire feed through so you can keep it powered.
Functionally, it works perfect and sounds amazing.
Cosmetically it’s seen some things but that makes it cool. Another unique feature is the “MXR” script font is smaller and not centered with the jacks.
Inside the case is a stamped sticker that says “1012”. I don’t know if this means serial number 1012 or what. It was there when I got it. The foam is also in awesome condition. Usually it corrodes and falls apart.
