1930s Recording King Model 807 Mandolin

This Recording King mandolin was one of the budget instruments manufactured by the Gibson company in Kalamazoo. It is identical to the Kalamazoo KM-11 model with a flat top and back. This clean example has a straight neck with virtually NO fret wear. Only an ancient repaired surface crack in the back prevents this from being "perfect" .

The combination of its spruce top and mahogany back & sides produces a bright, clear tone whose clarity can be heard in any string ensemble. Thinking of forming a jug band? This is the one you need!
