About This Listing

Nice all original 1940's war time Tonk bros. Sterling model 3626H1003. 13-1/4". Lower bout. 24-1/2" scale. Action is .140 at the twelfth fret. All original un molested. The 2 things that make me think it's war time is the Kluson peened gear tuners and the wooden tailpiece that is held on by the head of a wood screw. I have not seen this mounting style before. It works clean looking with no screws showing. It has new .010-.045 strings . Sounds great. The original brass frets were lightly cleaned with steel wool. There is a crack on the lower bout top that has been glued. Please ask any questions you may have.
