Very rare Warwick Corvette Hot Rod Bass Guitar 2005 Limited 5 strings including hard case Warwick Corvette Hot Rod Limited Edition 5 String Bass. Limited Edition Hot Rod Warwick Corvette. Excellent overall condition for a 14 year old bass. There are only a few small marks on the bodywork which are minor so do not photograph very well. See also the black knot in the wood on the back side of the lower horn, see photo. This is a natural knot in the wood but I thought it appropriate to point it out. These are the only minor points worth noting. It's a difficult bass to photograph, so I've added a couple of photos of this type of bass, the 2005 limited edition, from the Warwick website. The 2005 limited edition of just 250 of these basses was produced and, like all Warwick Ltd Editions, was personally signed by Warwick founder Hans Peter Wilfer on the back of the headstock. The bass is in overall great condition and plays fantastic. • American ash body, 2-piece design with hollow tone chambers (so a fairly light bass) • Intricate veneer cladding • 3/8" AAA flame maple top. • Flame Maple neck with Flame Maple fingerboard and "Planet" inlays, 24 frets • Keyboard radius: 640 mm (25.5") • Scale length: 34" (long) • Active MEC H/H soap bars • Colored satin finish • Black hardware • 3-band MEC active electronics with preamplifier bypass • Switchable average frequency 250 or 800 Hz The body is crafted from premium swamp ash and complemented by a AAA flame maple top. Between the swamp ash body and the flame maple top is a multi-layered Ekanga veneer, which runs around the entire body. The neck is crafted from flame maple and the maple fingerboard features custom planetary inlays.
