Samick SB-3 banjo. 5 string banjo with beautiful quilted sunburst resonator. Heavy banjo with tons of volume and sustain. Super cool inlay. The neck is straight, frets have plenty of life. Setup very well, action and intonation good. Has tone ring, rosewood fretboard, quilte resonator, clear head to show off the beautiful wood. Planetary tuners have great ratio and action. Nice tailpiece. Geared 5th string tuner.
Samick was a more popular brand name in the 90s when they marketed, fairly heavily, a line of guitars (specifically a line designed by Luthier Greg Bennett). They are an OEM for many popular "economy" guitars and instruments, sold by name brands like: Squier, Epiphone, Washburn, Hohner, Silvertone, and more.
This item is nearly mint, having rarely been played since owned (bought it, but never actually learned to play it)
This is a VERY nice bluegrass 5 string banjo with really every feature you could want, and a tone that's comparable to Banjos that cost twice as much.
It comes with a hard shell case, a capo, and a few thumb picks.
