This is a rare Apple Wood stave snare shell I constructed using timber that had fallen on my property. The wood was milled and air cured for over two years. It is extremely difficult to work with and normally is relegated to small projects. Not many Apple wood snares are around so you will indeed have something unique. The shell is 7x14 with a round over outer edge and 45 degree inner bearing edge. The shell is .30 inches thick and is finished internally with a coat of shellac and the outside is finished in a satin laquer. Thank you for looking.
