Up for sale is this spectacular Collings D3. The highest appointed model within Collings ‘D’(Dreadnought) range. It features an absolutely insane spruce top with some of the craziest medullary rays I’ve ever seen, Indian rosewood back and sides and an ebony fretboard and bridge.
Included in sale is the absolute last of the Collings Traditional Vintage cases. These were made by Collings in house and were offered as an upgrade over the standard TKL case. Unfortunately Collings stopped making these shortly after Bill Collings past due to the cost involved. These sell for upwards of $2.5k by themselves.
Photo’s do not do this guitar justice, I’ve tried capturing it the best I could. The guitar is otherwise mint aside from a small ding which I’ve tried to photograph.
It’s been professionally setup and restrung by Isaac at the Guitar Factory at Gladesville and is ready for it’s new home. It’s the best dreadnought I have ever played or seen.
