Buddy Guy, the epitome of the Blues alongside B. B. King and Muddy Waters, was inducted into the "Blues Hall of Fame" in 1985 and the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" in 2005. And of course Fender also wanted to show him the respect he deserved by dedicating his own Stratocaster to him in 1990, which naturally came in a "polka dot" design. This polka dot pattern is an essential part of Buddy Guy's style, from his shirts to his instrument. He once explained that he chose this style as a tribute to his mother. His Strat is based on a Fender Eric Clapton Custom Shop that Buddy Guy used in the 80s. The "Polka-Dot" at hand is Dennis Galuzka's interpretation of this iconic guitar. Galuszka only made very few of these Stratocasters and we are delighted to be able to offer you this one in Midnight Blue. The look is characteristic, the playability is excellent thanks to the pleasant Buddy Guy signature neck profile, 9.5'' fretboard radius and Vintage Upgrade frets and the sound is bell-like, pearly and bluesy as expected. The Handwound 50's pickups have a wonderful bell-tone and impress with a fantastic response and great clarity. From super bright and biting clean sounds to compressed overdrive sounds - this guitar is simply fun! "Damn' Right, I've Got the Blues", "Tramp", "Blues Don't Care" - these are the tunes that are immediately in your ear. So the future owner of this cult guitar not only acquires an irretrievable collector's item with the best value retention, but also an absolute top player. The guitar is in top condition apart from really minor signs of use. Born to Play Guitar!
